The Rock Chalk Community Builder Award

The Rock Chalk Community Builder Award recognizes a full-time staff member who has made significant contributions to fostering a sense of community within KU Student Affairs. Whether through building connections across campus or providing engaging student spaces, this individual creates an environment where students are valued, supported, and connected.


Criteria 

  • Must be a full-time staff member (at all levels) in KU Student Affairs with at least one year of service.
  • Must be in good standing. Staff on performance improvement plans at the time of nomination are not eligible.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to creating meaningful connections that build community.
  • Leads or contributes to efforts that enhance the overall student experience.
  • Goes above and beyond to ensure students are valued, supported, and connected.
