Student Affairs Programs

Food for Jayhawks

Food for Jayhawks is a group of KU students, faculty, and staff members who are committed to taking action to reduce food insecurity among KU students.

The group coordinates an annual campus food drive in October to support Just Food, the Douglas County, Kansas Food Bank. Other recent accomplishments of the group are the establishment of the Campus Cupboard in its current Kansas Union location and fundraising to support a Food for Jayhawks Meal Assistance program.

KU Family Association

The KU Family Association is here to enhance communication between the University and families of KU students. Our purpose is to foster the University Partnership with families in providing a quality education experience.
If you're a parent or a family member of a KU student (undergraduate or graduate), you're already a member. There are no forms to sign or dues to pay. We are committed to enhancing your experiences at the University while your student is here at KU.

Pepsi Program Funding and Product Requests

Fall 2022 applications are now open. Click below or email pepsi@ku.edu for more information.

As part of the agreement between the University of Kansas and Pepsi, two separate programs are available for University activities. Program Funding is designated each year for financial support of University programs and Pepsi Pepsi Product Requests are available as a form of support for University programs.

Proposals for program funding are welcomed from all University units, primarily non-academic units; and registered student organizations.

Student Affairs Awards

The Student Affairs Awards provide an opportunity to recognize staff from all departments who contribute to the mission of Student Affairs and provide excellent service to all members of the KU community. This year, the following awards will be presented to four individuals for their commitment to making learning possible: Baby Jay Award, Rock Chalk Award, Jayhawk Award, and Crimson & Blue Award

The Connect

The Connect serves as a monthly opportunity for students to celebrate the completion of a successful month, learn about student organizations and available campus resources, listen to good music, enjoy free food, and connect with other members of the KU community. The event occurs the last Wednesday of each month during the fall and spring semesters in the Burge Union.

University Awards

The University Awards are among the most prestigious awards presented at KU. These awards were established to recognize students who embody service excellence, dedication, or whose academic achievements remain stellar.

Each recipient is recognized during a surprise in-class presentation, and the award recipients’ photos are included in the Commencement Program.
