Biography —
Tammara Durham serves as vice provost for Student Affairs at the University of Kansas, where she is the senior student affairs officer for the Lawrence campus. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for student life, student support and leadership programs, auxiliary services, and student-supported wellness initiatives. She works collaboratively across the university to advance the Student Affairs values of community, impact, and well-being.
Durham's career at KU spans more than two decades of service and leadership. She joined the university as assistant director of the Freshman-Sophomore Advising Center and later served as director of the University Advising Center for seven years. She subsequently held the position of associate vice provost for Student Success before being appointed vice provost for Student Affairs after serving in the role on an interim basis.
As vice provost, Durham oversees a broad portfolio of departments and services that support students throughout their academic journey. Her work focuses on creating environments and opportunities that foster student development, leadership, well-being, and academic achievement. The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs serves as a central advocate for student needs and coordinates programs and services that contribute to student success and a vibrant campus experience.
Durham earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Missouri State University and her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas.
