Mikayla Leader Named KU Student Affairs November 2025 Employee of the Month
Congratulations to the November Student Affairs Employee of the Month: Mikayla Leader!
Mikayla serves as Program Coordinator for KU Memorial Unions. As Program Coordinator, Mikayla serves as staff advisor for The Big Event and Student Union Activities, providing training, support, and guidance to student leaders. She is also responsible for the planning and managing of high-traffic Unions programs and events, including this fall’s UnionFest.
In the words of one of her nominators, Bailee Myers, Director of Marketing and Programs for KU Memorial Unions: “Mikayla is always ready to assist and support any [program]. She is constantly looked to as a person to serve on committees, including Family Weekend, Homecoming, and the Association of College Unions International. Mikayla is a true team player and has elevated the programs offered by the Kansas Union. Many of the events and opportunities are made possible because of her.”
