KU Student Affairs Departments Observe National Hazing Prevention Week, Sept. 21 – 25


LAWRENCE, KS — Sept. 21, 2026 — The Health Education Resource Office (HERO), Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life (SFL), and Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) observe National Hazing Prevention Week by hosting the following events on the KU Lawrence Campus from Sept. 21 to 25: 

Monday 

  • Order of Omega Poster Display Opening at the SFL Office, Burge Union Suite 1030 
  • Hawks Don’t Haze Tabling & Order of Omega Chalking from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wescoe Beach 

Tuesday 

  • Hawks Don’t Haze Tabling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wescoe Beach 

Wednesday 

  • Lunch and Learn from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center 

Thursday 

  • Liquid Courage Table from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wescoe Beach 

Friday 

  • Order of Omega Poster Display Closing at the SFL Office, Burge Union Suite 1030 

The events listed above are open to all enrolled KU students, regardless of student organization affiliation. These resources are intended to help students identify hazing behaviors in real time, as well as strategies for modifying those activities to reduce potential harm.  

Students, faculty, staff, and community members can report hazing or conduct concerns anonymously via text message or WhatsApp at 785-333-4458, or email at tellsomeone@ku.realresponse.com.
