8/20/22	Jayhawks Give a Flock	Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Center	During Hawk Week, all new students will participate in Jayhawks Give a Flock (JGAF), KU's bystander intervention program. Students participating in this program will gain with the knowledge and skills-take action when they see behaviors that put others at risk for sexual assault. These skills include intervening in situations where others may be at risk of harm, speaking out against rape myths and sexist language, and supporting survivors of sexual violence.

11/16/22	Jana Mackey Distinguished Lecture Series	Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity	KU student Jana Mackey was a young social activist and feminist was taken from this world before her noble and inspiring work was completed. Jana dedicated her short life-pursuing social justice and true equality for all women. In an effort-continue her important work, this lecture series was established-raise awareness about issues close-Jana's heart, namely breaking down barriers and fostering opportunities-secure women's rights leaders and experts with the dual purpose of enhancing understanding and calling for involvement and service while providing a platform for discussion and dialogue.
