Faculty and Staff Volunteer Opportunities

As Jayhawks are preparing to return to campus, opportunities for faculty and staff to connect with students are approaching! Below are in-person opportunities to welcome students to the Jayhawk family, as well as meet other KU faculty and staff. Volunteer shifts vary in length and location.

Shift times vary depending on location and volunteer role. Follow up emails from Student Housing and Parking directing participants to specific location assignments will be sent closer to move-in. Volunteers should be prepared for any type of weather.

How you can help:

Building unloading coordinators greet cars at halls, and then direct them to unload and move their vehicle. This role directs volunteers to help where they are most impactful.

Parking assistants direct car queues as students and guests arrive. They address questions that drivers have and direct cars to the correct hall.

Golf cart drivers transport people with mobility concerns from post-unload parking lots to halls.
