Melissa Daggett Named KU Student Affairs April 2025 Employee of the Month

Congratulations to the April Student Affairs Employee of the Month: Melissa Daggett

Melissa is an Administrative Assistant in Student Support and Case Management (SSCM). As an administrative assistant, Melissa plays an essential role in managing the SSCM office. She is responsible for greeting office visitors, managing the website, coordinating events, answering phone calls and emails, and assisting drop-in students seeking support.

“[Melissa] is often the first person that people communicate with when [contacting] our office, and she is able to validate their concerns while communicating options and resources, or connecting then with a case manager, in a way that helps relieve anxiety," shared Melissa’s nominator, Rachel Auten, Director, SSCM.

"Her positivity and joy can be felt in all interactions, and she is a calm presence during the stressful situations that often arise in [our work]. Melissa is a true example of showing up to the office every day excited about the work she is doing at KU, striving to be the best person in the role and impacting the Jayhawk community in a positive way in all interactions.”

Melissa, KU Student Affairs recognizes and celebrates your efforts, commitment, and valuable impact on the KU community. Thank you for all you do to make learning possible!
