Jeremy Whetsone Named KU Student Affairs October 2025 Employee of the Month
Congratulations to the October Student Affairs Employee of the Month: Jeremy Whetstone!
Jeremy serves as Senior Operations Manager with KU Memorial Unions. As Senior Operations Manager, Jeremy plays a pivotal role in coordinating building operations, managing events, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of Union facilities.
In the words of his nominator, Nikita Haynie, Director, Office of Family Engagement: “With over 20 years of service at the KU Memorial Unions, Jeremy exemplifies what it means to lead with compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. In his role supervising student event staff, Jeremy serves as the critical point of contact for all things related to room setups and audio/visual support. His ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently makes him an indispensable partner for departments and organizations across campus. What truly sets Jeremy apart, however, is his collaborative spirit. Whether supporting departmental events or community initiatives, Jeremy consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone involved has what they need for a successful outcome.”
