New Jayhawk Checklist

Hello, new Jayhawks! All newly-enrolled students are expected to complete these online courses and trainings, submit immunization records, and complete TB screening prior to August 26th, the first day of classes. The checklist must be completed to enroll in Spring 2025 semester classes.


Courses and Trainings

You will receive notification via your University of Kansas email when these courses and trainings are available to you. 

Jayhawks Give a Flock

Participate in Jayhawks Give a Flock, KU’s in person bystander intervention program, during Hawk Week. Learn skills and tools to identify behavior that puts others at risk for violence, victimization, or perpetration.

Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

Complete the online training about Title IX and Clery Act to support your interactions with advisors, faculty members, peers, and undergraduate students.

AlcoholEdu

Learn about alcohol and its effects on the body and mind through AlcoholEdu. This online course is personalized to you based on your previous alcohol education.

Immunizations and Screenings

All new students are to provide proof of receiving the immunizations and screenings listed below. Upload through the Patient Portal is available 72 hours after orientation.

Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)

Show proof of two vaccinations if you were born on or after January 1, 1957.

Meningitis ACWY

Show proof of vaccination given on or after your 16th birthday if you are living in university-owned group housing.

Tuberculosis (TB)

Complete screening for tuberculosis during the enrollment process, and participate in follow up testing if required.
