Welcome to the new academic year!

We are thrilled to have the fall semester underway and experience the return of a vibrant campus community. During the summer, we spent time developing many new services to support you and your well-being. I will highlight just a few.

My Student Support Program (My SSP)

My SSP is a new service for KU students that provides 24/7 remote mental health and wellbeing support to students through a mobile app. KU students have access to support services customized by counselors withself-directed psychoeducational content that compliments existing campus and community resources. Students can connect with clinical professionals who are experienced in helping students cope with the unique challenges you might face. There is no cost for students. My SSP will support the wellbeing and retention of KU students by complementing existing campus and community resources.

Student Involvement and Leadership Center launched the Corq App, the official app of Rock Chalk Central. It provides access to view all student organizations’ events, contact organizations, and access to the Rock Chalk Central Event Pass to gain admittance to all KU student organization events.

KU Student Senate launched a Clicker Loan Program for the 2021-22 academic year. Students may check out a clicker completely free of charge, as long as it is returned in good condition at the end of the academic year. For more information, stop by KU Student Senate office 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday (Kansas Union, Suite 410).

Lastly, if you are looking for part-time employment, the University Career Center is the best resource for securing part-time on-campus employment. Be sure to check the website regularly to find the most up-to-date listings.

Have a great semester!
