Student Housing
Student Housing provides academically focused campus living for over 5,100 students. Living options for student vary from traditional residence hall settings, to suite-style, apartments, thematic learning communities, and cooperative houses. Graduate students serve in a variety of roles. Placement decisions in Student Housing will be based on position availability coupled with skills and interests of each candidate. Positions are for 10 month duration with an opportunity to apply for summer employment. Both housing and meal plan are provided, in addition to a biweekly stipend.
Assistant Complex Director
As a senior member of the residence life staff, each Assistant Complex Director (ACD) is part of KU Student Housing and Student Affairs, reporting to a Residence Life Complex Director. ACDs hold live-in, 75% positions, assisting in management of residential complex housing between 350 and 700 students. ACDs facilitate an environment conducive to academic success by promoting community development, student learning, and a safe and respectful community.

Scholarship Hall Director
As a senior member of the residence life staff, each Scholarship Hall Director (SHD) is part of KU Student Housing and Student Affairs and reports to a Residence Life Complex Director. SHDs hold live-in, 75% positions, and are responsible and accountable for the general supervision and management of all aspects of two scholarship halls and their staff. Each scholarship hall is a cooperative living group housing approximately 50 undergraduate students who spend time each day providing meal service for each other, cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, planning mutually beneficial programs, and expanding skills and abilities to work and live in a cooperative environment.
